The obituary further relates that: Harold's love of Christ was personified through his work with various churches during his travels. You would also find him serving meals to the needy during the holidays. Giving of himself was his nature.
As a self taught saxophone player, his life long dream was to play during worship and he was fortunate enough to accompany musicians at many churches during praise and worship.
Harold retired from the United States Air Force after serving twenty years. He went on to get a B.S. Degree in Psychology while serving as a Deputy US Marshall in Little Rock, AR. In later years he found joy working as a Substitute Teacher, Counselor, and Mentor for at risk youth in TX and in WI.
Harold was an inspiration to all of the lives he touched and he touched thousands.

AN ASIDE: I had the pleasure of serving with then SSgt Harold Martin in the early and mid 1960s. We were assigned to the 1254th Air Police Squadron, providing security of aircraft transporting the U.S. President, Congressional and Cabinet Members and other dignitaries. Harold and I worked the same shift and periodically travelled together on various Special Air Missions.
(NOTE: Harold's online Dignity Memorial obituary is lovingly crafted by his family and has photographs that display a very familiar face to me. To see, go to: https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/plano-tx/harold-martin-4489189
