Helen H. Kozarnowicz, 92, of Worcester, died Sunday Jan 8, 2012 in Golden Living - The Hermitage, 383 Mill St.

She leaves her sister-in-law and caregiver, Estelle C. Kozarnowicz of Worcester with whom she lived, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters; Stanley J. Kozarnowicz, Joseph S. Kozarnowicz, Jane Kozarnowicz and Laura Dymek. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Felix and Jadwiga "Hedwig" (Rucki) Kozarnowicz and was a lifelong Worcester resident.

Ms. Kozarnowicz was a distribution clerk for many years with the United States Postal Service. Helen was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and after the war she joined the Marine Reserves. Helen was a graduate of Commerce High School and was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.

The funeral will be held Wednesday Jan. 11 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday Jan. 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
