Television, Film, and Voice Actor. Born Jack Westelman and known professionally as Danny Wells, he is perhaps best known for his role as Charlie the bartender on 'The Jeffersons', as well as the video game character Luigi, brother of Nintendo's mascot Mario, on 'The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!' which was a show based upon the classic Nintendo game. He made many guest appearances on such TV shows as 'Punky Brewster', 'Murder, She Wrote', 'Riptide', 'Small Wonder', 'The Fall Guy', 'The A-Team', 'Silver Spoons', 'Happy Days, 'CHiPs', 'Eight is Enough', 'Fantasy Island', 'The Bionic Woman', 'Sanford and Son', 'The Streets of San Francisco', 'Kojak', 'Starsky & Hutch' and 'Love, American Style'. He also did voices for television, films, cartoons and videogames such as 'Heathcliff and The Catillac Cats', 'Potatoes and Dragons', 'Tripping the Rift', 'Ruby Gloom', 'What's with Andy?', 'Batman: The Animated Series', 'Creepschool', 'Fred's Head', 'Cosmic Cowboys', 'Pirate Family', 'Turbo Dogs', 'Willa's Wild Life', and 'Grossology' among many others. On film, he had roles in 'The Shaggy D.A.' (1976), 'Private Benjamin' (1980), 'Body and Soul' (1981), 'The Woman in Red' (1984), 'Life Stinks' (1991), 'Magnolia' (1999), 'The Last Kiss' (2006) and 'Old Stock' (2012).
