Adolph Edwardson was born near Oslo, Norway, Sept. 25, 1872, and immigrated to Wisconsin in 1893. He worked in a lumber yard at Cedar Falls and was married there to Amanda Sorenson in 1896. They moved to a farm south of Stanley in 1902. Adolph retired from farming in 1943 and moved to a home in Eau Claire. In June of 1961, Adolf and Amanda observed their 65th wedding anniversary. They had five children. One son, Carl, preceded him in death.
