MRS. GIBSON DIES: RITES SET FRIDAY
Mrs. Montie Pearl Gibson, 66, of 408 N. Santa Fe, died at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Gibson was born March 8, 1890 at Joplin, Mo. She moved with her parents to a farm in Craig County, Oklahoma and received her education in Welsh (should be Welch), Okla., living there until she married Lon Carlton Humble, Dec 27, 1908, In Welsh. They continued to make Welsh their home until moving to Bartlesville in 1921, where she has since resided.
Mrs. Gibson was employed at Washington County Memorial Hospital from 1935 to 1943. On Feb 13, 1953 she was married to Curtis S. Gibson in Fort Smith, Ark. And he died June 29, 1956. She was also preceded in death by a son, Londo Humble, June 29, 1953. She was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Cleta Williams, 408 N. Santa Fe, Bartlesville, Mrs. Betty Eden, Ramona and one step-daughter, Mrs. Eva Bailey of Midland, Tex; four sons, Billie Humble, 101 S. Quapaw, Paul Humble, 218 S. Comanche, both of Bartlesville; Oliver Humble, Tulsa; Sgt. Clifford Humble, with the U.S. Army stationed at Ft. Knox, Ky and one step-son, J.A. Gibson, 2077 S. Johnstone, Bartlesville: one sister, Mrs. Cleo Means; Kansas City, Mo, two brothers, Ray Carter, The Dalles Ore., and Leo Carter, of Philadelphia, Pa. and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Keeley-Neekamp chapel. The Rev. Charles Wilson, pastor of the Epworth Methodist Church will officiate and interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
