He served in the US Navy from 1965-1967.
He married Edna L. New on May 5, 1969. They made their home in the Boise area. They enjoyed building street rods and antique Harleys.
They had one daughter, Tammy. They later divorced.
He later married Mona R. Shaeffer. They had four children, Ryan, Shawna, Stephanie, and Seth. They made their home in the Pierce, Idaho area. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting.
Ron is survived by his five children, three sisters, four brothers, and seven grandchildren. His mother, father, aunt Dora Robbins, Uncle Gene Robbins, and a brother, Gary Litz, preceded him in death.
