He was the son of the late Mrs. Ellie Mae Phillips Andrews and the late Mr. Andrews. He served in the U. S. Army Air Force Medical Corps and was a veteran of World War II. He was a retired insurance salesman. He was preceded in death by his first wife June Stevenson Andrews and he was the widower of the late Mary E. Andrews. He was preceded in death by a son, Henry Wayne Andrews, and a grandson, David Ashley Odom.
Survivors include his daughter, Betty A. Durbin of Orangeburg; one son, William V. Andrews, Jr. of Charleston; five grandchildren, Melanie and Rusty Smith of Orangeburg, Kyle Andrews of Charleston, Layla Andrews of Fairfax, Courtney Andrews of Japan and William Andrews of Greenville.
