LINCOLN -- Corda Mae Richards, 96, of Lincoln died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at 3 p.m. at the Christian Village.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Ryan Edgecomb officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Lucas Chapel, rural Lincoln.

Miss Richards was a licensed practical nurse. She was employed in the nursing profession for over 50 years at St. Clara's Hospital in Lincoln, St. John's Hospital in Springfield and Mary-Henry Nursing Home in Lincoln.

She was born April 12, 1909, in Logan County to John D. and Elizabeth Schultz Richards.

She is survived by one nephew, Donald (and Sandra) McKnight of Lincoln, one niece, Thelma Jean McKnight of Lincoln; two great-nieces, Patricia McKnight of Chicago and Julia McKnight of Bloomington; and several cousins.

She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by two sisters and one nephew.

She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and past president of Division Six of the Practical Nurses Association of Illinois.

Memorials may be made to the Christian Village or the donor's choice.
