Oct. 29, after an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 18, 1897, in
Frederick County, a daughter of the late
Charles Edward and Florence Bruneta
Smith. Her husband predeceased her
Dec. 3,1968.
She was a life member of the
Woodsboro Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary
and a 50-year member of
Woodsboro Homemakers Club.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth S,
Houck of Woodsboro, Harold H. Houck
of Baltimore and I. Marvin Houck of
Walkersville: one daughter, Mrs.
Phyllis H. Smith, Walkersville; five
brothers, Robert L. Smith of Frederick,
Walter C. Smith of Woodsboro, Dr.
Nevin E. Smith of Hagerstown, Steiner
W. Smith of Woodsboro and Harry E.
Smith of Walkersville; six grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
