MAJOR EZEKIEL SMITH BALDWIN DEAD -

In the death of Maj. Ezekiel Smith Baldwin, which occurred last Friday, a large circle of relatives and friends are bereaved

He is survived by six brothers, one sister, Mrs. J. J. Bud, of this place and six children, Mrs. M. L. Shealy of this place, Mrs. Geo. W. Chipley of Bremen, Mrs. Walter Gaines of Forsyth, Mrs. C. C. Carleton of Plant City, Fla., Mrs. Claude and Charlie Baldwin of Oglethorpe. He also had fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A useful citizen in every condition, a faithful Christian, a prominent Mason, a brave Confederate Soldier, a devoted husband and father, the heritage of his good name is a priceless legacy.

The funeral services were held in the Methodist Church
of Marshallville, conducted by Dr. J. B. McGehee, his life-long friend. Having been a Mason more than fifty years, the services at the grave were by the Masons, Dr. J. O. Booton, Davis Baldwin and F. J. Frederick, officiating.

He rests by the wife whose death occurred six months ago and who is well remembered to the older inhabitants as Miss Artimesia Caroline Brown
