Jerome Napoleon Bonaparte-Patterson was the son of Napoleon's youngest brother, Jerome, and Elizabeth Patterson of Baltimore, Maryland. They were married in Baltimore Cathedral by Bishop John Carroll on Christmas Eve, 1803. Napoleon later had the union annulled in Europe. This is the origin of the American Bonapartes.
