William Jamison, s/o Robert & Sarah (McKee) Jamison, b. ca 1746, Philadelphia, PA, d. 2 Dec. 1804, Ross Co., OH (Will dtd. 29 Nov. 1804), md. ca 1771 to Susannah Lockhart b. ca 1750, Morland Twp., PA, d. 9 Feb. 1824, Ross Co., OH, d/o Jacob Lockhart.

William served during the American Revolutionary War as a Private in Captain John Loudon's Company, Colonel William Thompson's Battalion of Riflemen, Pennsylvania Line and in Captain Marpole's Company B. (DAR #434359).
After the Rev. War they settled in Bourbon Co., KY and were living there during the years when the Indians were attempting to massacre all white settlers. William was part of a party of surveyors led by Nathaniel Massie into Ohio (later Massie wrote a book about the dangers they encountered during that trip and mentioned William Jamison as being a member of the party). Both William and Nathaniel Massie settled on land near Chillicothe, OH in 1796.
William was one of the first white men to raise corn in that part of the county known as Station Prairie. They later moved to another farm near Frankfort. They were both buried in the family graveyard on that farm and later removed to Concord Presbyterian Church near Lattyville. Some of the older family members remained in Bourbon Co., KY.
