Jacob named his sons James, Jacob and Levi Lockhart and daughters Jane and Elizabeth "Else" Lockhart in his will which was written 30 January 1771 and proven in Court 15 April 1783. He named "beloved friends John Moffett and son-in-law Mathew Arbuckle [married daughter Jane] my only and sole executors" of his will.
Witnesses were William Mitchell, John Kirkpatrick and Robert Clark.
