Muriel B. Paulsen
age 91 of Ypsilanti, formerly of the Belleville area, passed away peacefully under the loving care of Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson, MI on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the age of 91, after a brief illness.

Muriel was born on the Garden Peninsula in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on December 3,1921 to Frederick and Delia (Mainville) Gauthier. Following High school, she graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Nursing School in Green Bay, WI and worked for many years as an RN at Beyer Hospital in Ypsilanti, MI and at Belleville Hospital in Belleville, MI. As a long-time resident of Belleville, she was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Belleville. She lived the last few years at American House Senior Living in Ypsilanti, enjoying daily bingo, card playing, and many activities with many new friends.

She was preceded in death by Russ, her loving husband of 60 years and siblings Clifford (Pete), Eugene (Norbie), and Stella.

She leaves behind her daughter Kris Adler of Jackson, granddaughter Jennifer (Clint) Walker of Hot Springs, SD, great granddaughters Karis and Mattea Walker, numerous nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.

Visitation will be at David C. Brown Temporary Viewing & Funeral Chapel, 500 E. Huron River Drive, Belleville on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 6-8 PM. Burial in the springtime at New Garden Cemetery, Garden, MI.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and would be appreciated by the family.
