MRS. L. HUFFMAN PASSES AWAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Lela Nancy Huffman were held from the Church of Christ, Santa Rosa, Wednesday, Feb. 25th, at 2:00 p.m., with Bro. M. E. Waldrum officiating.

Mrs. Huffman passed away suddenly last Saturday, Feb. 21st, in West Palm Beach, Fla., following a heart attack. She was born March 2, 1879 at Nabor, Texas.

Final resting place, Evergreen Cemetery, Santa Rosa.

Surviving are six sons, John W., of Melrose, Grady E., Tucumcari, Hubert M., U.S. Navy, Buford M., San Diego, Cal., Herbert T., U.S. Marines, and Eli R., of Cactus, Texas.

Two daughters: Lera Garcia, of Santa Rosa; and Evelyn Woods, of W. Palm Beach, Fla.; twelve grandchildren, two sisters and a brother.

Her husband, Robert D., died in 1926. Three children have also passed away.

The family came to New Mexico from Oklahoma in 1914, settling on a ranch 30 miles east of Santa Rosa.
