p.m. Thursday at the Ballard
Funeral Home Chapel for Willis
O. French, 73, of Route 1, Box
228-Z, who died of natural causes
Tuesday at St Mary's Hospital.
The Revs. Norman Lakes and
Bill Jones of the Tinnie Baptist
Church will officiate.
Burial will be at the South Park
Cemetery here.
Arrangements are being
handled by the Ballard Funeral
Home.
Mr. French was born on April
19, 1911 in Yarnsby, Okla., to Mr.
and Mrs. Henry French.
He was married Dec. 18, 1933,
in Levelland, Texas, to Mamie
Shaw, who survives him in
Roswell.
An area resident since 1942,
French was a retired civil ser-
vice worker and a member of the
Midway Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons,
Bill French of Dexter and Don
French of Roswell; one brother,
E.J. French of Levelland; six
sisters, Sue Shaw and Cynthia
Gover, both of Roswell, Vera
Elkins and Nora Huffman, both
of San Diego, Calif., Hazel
Melton of Portales and Ann
Ferguson of Mesa, Ariz.; four
grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Henry
Gramm, W.H. Montgomery, Jim
Moore, Claude Swarengin and
Howard Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be
all of his friends.
