Clinton E. Troxell, 72 years old, who resided with his daughter, Mrs. Hermina Humphries, Easton R.D. 4, died at 2:07 this morning of infirmities incident to old age, after an illness of four years. His wife died 28 years ago.
Mr. Troxell was a native of Egypt, Lehigh County, and was a bricklayer and plasterer by occupation. He was a member of the First Reformed Church, Easton and of Easton Local No. 37, Bricklayers and Plasterers' Union.

According to the 1900 Census Easton PA, Northampton Co:
Rebecca Troxell 50y was married
mother of two children
residing at 520 Pine St.
Estimated year of marriage as 1894
In the 1910 census she is listed as widowed.
Clinton was born in 1866 and I did not find him in the census with his mother, nor in any other household.
It may be possible that she was not using her current married name and was using the name of her first marriage. Though she is listed as married, no husband is listed in the census giving the assumption that they may no longer have been together. It was not uncommon for women to resume a former married name or maiden name after separation and/or divorce, so this very well may have been the case, seeing her son's surname is Troxell. I've yet to find out who her other child was.

in the hh of Adam Troxell 65y and his
two children; Mary 29y and Saius (Silas) 24y
and another child, Annie Weaver 5y
I believe this Adam Troxell, who died in 1879
and is buried in Egypt Cemetery, Lehigh Co. PA
where his wife, Lydia, of 22 yrs. is also buried,
who died in 1853, to be the father of Clinton.
Adam Troxell and Rebecca Newhart are named as his parents on his death certificate; unfortunately no specific birthplace is given for them other than U.S.A.
