Levi Claycomb came to Benton County, with his parents, from Montgomery Co. Mo. after 1850.
He lived in a log cabin southwest of Racket where he farmed and
had a mill where he used a rock burr mill to grind corn meal. He married Hannah Maria Wheeler, born in Vermillion co. Ill. Mar. 17, 1848.
They were married in Vermillion Co. on Feb. 7, 1865,
and to this union eight children were born. (Ben
