Gary Don Bridges was born on July 29, 1937 to Ted Melvin and Gertrude Camilla Bridges in Ardmore, OK. He passed away on November 1, 2015, at the age of 78 in Alexandria, LA. He was a SFC having served in Vietnam and then retired in Leesville, LA, after 21 years of service to his country. He also was employed for the Department of Labor and then worked for Cubic. He was a member of the American Legion Post 145. Mr. Bridges was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He served as music director in many churches during his military career. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Mr. Bridges will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Gertrude Bridges.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years of Leesville, LA.; four Sons and daughters-in-law; Daughters and one son-in-law; three Brothers of OK; Sister of Sepulpa, OK; 14 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service.
