Linda Alene Hunter was born August 3, 1944 at Tulsa, Oklahoma the daughter of Louis Clifton and Clemie Cox Gant. Linda passed away on August 10, 2012 at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 68 years of age.
Linda grew up in Glenpool, where she was a member of the basketball team. Linda graduated from Glenpool High School with the class of 1962.
Later that same year she married her High School sweetheart, Murel Hunter on October 27, 1962 at Stillwell, Oklahoma. At the time of Murel's death they had celebrated 49 years of marriage.
Linda was a former Glenpool City Clerk, worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield and then she became an independent insurance agent.
Linda and Murel were long time members of First Baptist Church, Glenpool, Oklahoma.
In her spare time Linda enjoyed watching football and basketball. She also enjoyed playing golf and traveling.
Linda was preceded in death by father; Louis, her husband; Murel on February 24, 2012, her son; Dan, a sister; JoAnn and her brother Gary.
Linda is survived by Mother; Two Sons and spouses; Sister; Brother; Four Grandchildren; Two Great-Grandchildren; And a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
