MACRIE SR., ROBERT GEORGE 64 - of Sweetwater, passed away Tuesday July 7, 2009 at Atlantic Care Regional Hospital in Pomona. Born in Hammonton, he was a 1962 graduate of Hammonton High School. He retired in 2000 as a Maintenance Technician for Verizon. He also worked for Lowes in Egg Harbor Twp. Robert served in the U.S. Marine Corp as a Corporal during Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the Cape - Atlantic Marine Corp. League. He loved to play Santa Claus for many charitable organizations. Robert is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Eleanor Macrie. Surviving are his wife Joyce D. (nee Friedley), two sons Robert G. Macrie, Jr. of Sweetwater, and Christian Macrie and his wife Julie of Mays Landing, one daughter Valerie and her Fiance Patrick Aiken of Pleasantville. Brother Frank Macrie of Las Vegas, and two sisters Jo Ann Petters of Blue Anchor and Katherine Lemons and her husband William of Hammonton, Loving Grandfather of Robbie, Joey and Colin Macrie, Alexandria and Adam Montalvo. Dear Uncle of Danny Macrie, Tom (Lisa) Petters, Mark (Amy) Petters, Lacy Lemons, Laurie Ott, Lisa Cuneo and Lerik Lemons. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday 9:00am - 11:00am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton. Funeral Service 11:00am at funeral home. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery.
