NEWPORT NEWS - God hates cancer. As a testament to this fact, God allowed Robin Lynn (Smith) Maszczak, 53, to move from the loving arms of her husband, ... and sons, ..., into her new home and the welcoming arms of Jesus, on Sat. evening, Jan. 3, 2015. She was preceded in death by her mother Linda. ***Names of the living have been omitted per Find A Grave rules***
In addition to her husband and sons, Robin leaves behind an oversized, incredibly affectionate lap dog, Socks, and a smart, snarky miniature pinscher, Bruiser. Others she's reserving a seat for in Heaven include her brother, ...; sister, ...; father, ...; best friend, ...; and hundreds of adoring friends around Hampton Roads, the U.S., and as far away as Australia.
Robin was a full time, true home-maker, also devoting countless hours to working out her faith and unconditionally loving people--locally, through communities like her beloved God's Girls Ministry and Relevant Community Church; across the country at GCN conferences; and abroad online. She will be deeply missed by all who have come into contact with her, except those few shady folks she relentlessly followed and fearlessly confronted--much to her family's chagrin--during her neighborhood watch days. (Yes, she's still got her eye on you.) During her short time on earth, Robin loved to read her Bible, help others through love and natural health, sing, dance, jet ski, experience the waves crashing on the shore, savor lemon meringue pie, and especially laugh with her family. There will be a celebration of her life in February, details will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.
