Mabel E. Arnold, 89, formerly of Eastern Ave., died 10:25 P.M. December 23, 1987, in Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 4, 1898, in Athens County to Alfred H. and Mary M. Echols Hicks.
On March 30, 1917, she married Cletus E. Arnold, who died March 11, 1979.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frederick (Imogene) Davis, a son, Vernon E. Arnold, and a son and daughter-in-law, Alvin L. and Norma Jean Arnold, all of Chillicothe; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Bragg and four brothers, Carl, Calvin, Stanley and William Hicks.
Funeral service will be held 1 P.M. Monday in the Ware Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Norman officiating.
Burial will follow in New Holland Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ware's 6-8 P.M. Sunday.
