J. D. Ary of Stigler, Oklahoma was born August 26, 1931 in Stigler to John Cleveland Ary and Emma Rachel (Crawford) Ary and passed away April 30, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 79. J.D. was a Deacon at Whitefield Baptist Church and honorably served in the Army during the Korean War. J.D. was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers, Earl V. Ary, David D. Ary, Eugene Ary, Charlie W. Ary, and O.B. Ary. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Hazel Ary, of the home; one daughter, Paula Marie Ary-Harrington and husband, Tim, of Ada, OK; one son, Johnny D. Ary and wife, JinFeng Qi of Stigler, OK; one sister, Velma Elizabeth Crosby of Hamilton City, CA; two brothers, Howard Lee Ary and wife Nita of Stigler, OK and J. R. Ary and wife Mary of Moore, OK; one granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn Ary-Hogue and husband Ryan of Tulsa, OK; one grandson, Min Han of Norman, OK. Services will be Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Whitefield Baptist Church. Interment will be at Whitefield Cemetery.
