He attended North Star School, but since he was the only son, he did not go on to high school, but helped his father with the farming. On Nov. 19, 1930, he married Lena Irene Workman and they lived in Brownscreek twp. until they retired in 1958 & moved to Jewell City. They had 4 children-Joan Blacker(Waugh), James C. Blacker, Neita Blacker(Colin) & Peggy Blacker(Selvidge). He also worked for the Jewell County road dept. as a heavy equipment operator, after retirement he had a lawn care service & also did woodworking projects. He made & displayed one of the largest Christmas yard displays in Jewell County.People came from far & near to see it.
Clede had 4 sisters-Gladys Blacker(McDill), Bernice Blacker(Mohler). Letty Blacker(Kreiser) & Maxine Blacker(Ward).
