Fanny was the daughter of Michael Coyner and Phebe Peterson.
She married Augustine "Augustus" Blacker and they had the following children: Henry M, Eliza Jane, Mary Eveline, Jacob Coyner, James Wesley, William Martin, Frank Augustus and Frances Nell. Augustus died in the Civil War and she married William Brown, who she later divorced; in 1883 she married James Wesley Blacker, Augustine's brother.
