Thrown from Horse----Killed
Oscar J. Andrew died Saturday morning at two o'clock as a result of being thrown from his horse Friday afternoon. He, with his wife and children drove to the field with the team and wagon, where they discovered that the cattle were in the corn. Mr. Andrew returned to the house for his saddle horse, while his wife held the team. He returned, on a gallop, and they presume that he thought the gate was open, as he ran into it, throwing him about twenty-five feet on the other side. Although no post mortem was held it is understood that one side was crushed and several ribs broken.
Funeral services were held Monday at ten o'clock at the Spring Hill church.
He lived the first house north of North River, between Greenbush and Norwalk.

Oscar James Andrew was born near Osceola, in Clark County, December, 18, 1868 and died as the result of an accident September 17th, 1921 at his home in Norwalk, his age being 52 years, 8 months, and 29 days.
He with his parents moved to Warren County in 1880 and settled near Spring Hill where he grew up to manhood.
In 1917 he was married to Mae Brewbaker, who preceded him in death in 1908.
He united with the M.E. Church in 1886 when 18 years of age and in 1917 united with the Christian church. He was always interested and loyal to every movement that helped to advance the Kingdom of God.
On June 25, 1917, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Mamie Wood, and to this union there was born two children, Oscar James, and Inez Irene.
There is left to mourn his loss an aged mother, two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Cook, of New Providence, Iowa, and Lilian, who is living at Clemons, Iowa. Also two brothers, George of Colfax and William E of Springville, Iowa. Also two step children Velma and Elvin Wood, besides a number of relatives and a very large number of friends.
His father preceded him in 1910.
Funeral services were held at the home on Monday, September 19th, and were conducted by Rev. Simpson, of Norwalk, and burial was made in Webb Cemetery.
