SUMMERVILLE, GA - Frances Strange Cochran, died on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at a Chattanooga, TN hospital.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Cochran; her parents, Allen E. and Mamie Worsham Strange; one sister, Mae Earle Strange; and one brother, Carlton W. Strange.

Mrs. Cochran is survived by her daughter, Martha Cochran Parker and husband Kenneth; grandson Jacob Charles Parker and wife Jessica; granddaughter Rebekah Frances Parker; great-grandson Kenneth Cadyn Parker and great-granddaughter Anna Grace Parker all of Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Cochran is also survived by one nephew, Sam Strange and wife Bonnie of Fort Worth, TX.

Mrs. Cochran was a lover of hospitality and was known for her talents in the kitchen. She took pride in her role as Christian homemaker.

As a member of the South Commerce Street Church of Christ for 70 years, she served in all the works of which the ladies of the church were involved.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday July 6, 2012 at the South Commerce Street Church of Christ with Raymond Elliott and Jacob C. Parker officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Erwin Petitt Funeral Home, and 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday at South Commerce Street Church of Christ.

Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery.

The family will accept flowers as Mrs. Cochran enjoyed the things of beauty, however, she was also interested in contributions to the Gospel Broadcasting Network, 3969 Cloud Springs Road, Ringgold, GA 30736, and the Boyd-Buchanan School Library Fund, 4650 Buccaneer Trail, Chattanooga, TN.
