Franklin M. Cherry is the son of William Anderson Cherry and Elizabeth Tucker Cherry. Franklin and Rena were married Nov. 10, 1890 in Walker Co., GA.

"F.M. Cherry, 72, father of J.C. Cherry of Payne Springs was buried at Concord cemetery near Mineola last week. A long time member of the Baptist church, Mr. Cherry was the last surviving member of a family of twelve. He died at his home at Concord on last Monday.

Funeral services were conducted by Revs. W.E. Stagner and L.A. Stedham.

Surviving are eleven children, five sons: E.A., H.G. and A.E. Cherry of Mineola, M.L. Cherry of Quitman and J.C. Cherry of Payne Springs and six daughters, Mrs. J.T. Chapman of Commerce, K.S., Opal, Willie and Hazel Cherry of Houston."
