Captain Gary Marion Boggess, USMC, Retired, 75 died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Kernersville Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13 at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Voorhees officiating.

Gary was born November 23, 1939 in Colville, Washington to the late John Edward and Evelyn Koch Boggess. He served in the United States Marine Corps for over 20 years and enjoyed woodworking as a hobby.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Ann Boggess on November 28, 2011.

Survivors include his daughter, Carol Boggess of Kernersville; son, William Boggess and wife Stacey of Warner Robins, Georgia; sister, Betty Jean Hartman of Washington; four grandchildren: Brandon, Haley, Matthew and Bella.
