Mr. Charles Percy Allred, 75, of 4009 Redberry Rd., died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at his residence.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Allred served with the Civil Air Patrol for 30 years, was a member of the Flying Club and was licensed in 1959. He was also a member of the Pigeon Club for 30 years and served with the U.S. Marine Corps, 4th Division during World War II.

Mr. Allred is survived by his wife of 51 years, Peggy Heath Allred of the home; sons, Rick and Barry Allred; sister, Margaret Myers, all of Greensboro; grandchildren, Robyn Gest, Amy Allred and Zachary Allred; and great-grandson, Colin Gest.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home and other times, at the residence.
