He attended Chatham Central High School in Sanford, and graduated from Ben L. Smith High School in Greensboro. He retired after 38 years in 2002 from Richards & Vicks (now a Procter & Gamble Co.). He was a member of the Young Carolinians and was involved in numerous plays with the Community Theatre. He was also a former president of the Quarter Century Club at Procter & Gamble, and participated in annual running events.
He is survived by his wife, Connie C. Bush; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jason & Jan Bush; granddaughter, Nikkie Bush.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley R. Bush & Vada Ruth Oldham Bush, and sister, Karen Bush Leonard.
Interment followed funeral services conducted at the Friendly Avenue Baptist Church, Greensboro, Sunday, January 13, 2008. Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Funeral Home, Greensboro, assisted the family with arrangements.
