Private First Class Adams was serving with the 15th Infantry when he was Killed in Action.
In 1948, the body was exhumed from it's European burial location and returned to the U.S. for re-interment. His obituary in the Greensboro Daily News, December 11, 1948, provides that surviving were two sisters, Mrs. Rachael Pike and Mrs. Elma Haynes, and two Brothers, Jesse B. and E.H. Adams, all of High Point.
