Beatrice Anna Blasi Age 89, of New York City, died peacefully at her home in New York on June 13, 2015. Beatrice was born in Medford, MA on May 9, 1926, the daughter of the late Olindo C. and Anna (Gaultieri) Blasi. Beatrice was a graduate of East Boston High School, and continued her education at the City College of New York (CCNY). She studied Spanish and travelled through Spain, taking courses in the language and arts of the regions. Travel, skiing and dancing were favorite activities Beatrice enjoyed with family and friends. In 1960 Beatrice moved to New York City, and made it her home for the past 55 years. She enjoyed all that New York City had to offer, including the Ballet, Opera and Symphony, with the many New York City friends she made over the years.

Beatrice retired after a long professional career at Sea-Land Service, Inc. in New Jersey. Beatrice will be remembered by her family and friends for her generosity to loved ones. She was a loving, caring, sister, aunt , sister-in-law, cousin and friend, who always took the time to keep in touch and let all know she cared. Auntie Bea was loved by all and will be missed by her many great-nieces and nephews.

There was a memorial celebration of her life in MA for family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the New York City Ballet Education Department, Samuel B. and David Rose Building, 8th Floor, 70 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY 10023 or to a charity of choice.
