Ella Mae Stepney was the daughter of Priscilla Jefferson and Miles D. Davis. She was born in Waco Texas in 1890. She married William "Willie" Stepney in Muskogee, Oklahoma and they had nine children. In the 1940's she moved to Los Angeles, California. In her later years she moved to Artesia, California where she died on September 8, 1991 at the age of 101.
