Stanley Iowa was shot and killed by his wife.

The coroners verdict: Stanley was shot and killed in Los Angeles, California by his second wife Madie Turner at their home at 3614 McKinley Ave. He was a very handsome man but, also a womanizer. He was taken to the Georgia Street Receiving Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:PM on July 28, 1929. He died at the age of 32. Cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head in the hands of the deceased after a quarrel in which Stanley threatened Madie's life they were struggling for the gun. It was listed as self-defense.

An inquest was held July 30, 1929 and the jury rendered a verdict of justifiable homicide. His body was transferred to the Angelus Funeral Home on July 30,1929 address 1030 East Jefferson Street Los Angeles, California.
