William C. Mnich, 65, of 325 Pleasantview Ave. died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Mnich was a life resident of Syracuse. He retired in 1984 from Crucible Specialty Metals.
Mr. Mnich served with the Marine Corps in the Philippines during World War II.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Mnich of San Diego, Calif., and Diane Reale of Syracuse; two sons, Daniel of San Diego and Philip of Syracuse; a sister, Veronica Wasnick of Syracuse; a brother, Raymond of Syracuse; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
