Son of Isaac P. and Violet Crouch Farlow and widower of Madge Elizabeth Adcock Farlow, he served with the U.S. Coast Guard for 21 years. He was co-owner of Cooper Electricial Construction Company. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Corinthian Lodge, Supreme Council, Oasis Temple and a former member of the High Point Shrine Club. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four isters. He was survived by his second wife, Carolyn W. Farlow; son Wayne Farlow and his wife Janet; step-son, Dr. Byron R. Navey; grandchildren, Lucas and Elizabeth Farlow and Gwyneth Navey. His funeral was held July 23, 2009, followed by his burial with military honors.
