HIGH POINT - Mr. Joseph Charles Baldwin, 72, a resident of 1018 Old Mill Road, died Monday, April 16, 2007, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Zion Hill United Methodist Church, 2901 Sandy Ridge Road, Colfax, with the Rev. Timothy E. Fitzgerald officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Guilford Memorial Park, Greensboro.

Mr. Baldwin was born May 10, 1934, in Montgomery County, a son of the late Charlie and Ellanora Bruton Baldwin. A resident of High Point since 1950, he was a self-employed electrical contractor with an unlimited electrical license in three states - N.C., S.C., and Va., and a member of Zion Hill United Methodist Church. Fraternally, he was a member of Florence Memorial Masonic Lodge #719, as well as being active with other Masonic Houses, among them, Abdallah Shrine Temple #189, until his health began to decline. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Esther Cole Baldwin of the home; two sons, Norris (Marilyn) Baldwin of King and Rodney (Janice) Baldwin of High Point; one daughter, Ada Lavern Baldwin of High Point; three grandchildren, Rachel, Arica and Cole; one brother, Rev. Dallas (Alyce) Baldwin; and one sister, Gloria Baldwin, all of Greensboro; one uncle, Jasper Baldwin of High Point; other relatives and friends.
