He was a Private, Bat E 149th US Art. Field,
April 16, 1918 he was transferred to Newport News Va, Eventually being discharged August 25, 1922 and went back home to Ky. where in his later years he was a sign painter.

He was born in Muses Mills, Ky to the late James T. Marshall and Amanda F. Fightmaster Marshall of Grant Count, Ky. He had 6 sister's and 4 brother's.

He passed away at Veterans Adm. Med. Center in Ohio at the age of 76. He was a World War I Veteran.

He married Bertha Bresch Marshall(2nd wife).He had a daughter named Evelyn with her, who passed after 4 days old.

He had a son named Charles R Marshall.

He was married previously, to Wilhelmina "Minnie" Bauer.
