In January, 2010, Buster became ill. After several trips to the vet, we learned he had cancer; yet there might be an operation that could save him. It was set for February 17. On the night of the 15th, Buster was laying in the hallway, and there appeared a purplish stain from his chest downwards. We immediately took him to the wonderful folks at West Vet. There we were devastated to learn that his spleen had already ruptured. The caring people at West Vet gave him enough sedative that he was not in pain, and we had time to say our goodbyes. Then with us gently stroking his ears, the vet put him to sleep, and he slipped away peacefully from us.
We miss our Buster every day.
