Co. G & Co.I 5th KS. Calvary, Civil War. Archibald & Mary had 14 children according to their Bible pages that is in my possesion. Eliza,Lucinda,Samuel,Archibald,Rachel,John,Ephraim,Philena,Augusta,Augustus(twins),Danford,William,Mary,& Silas. They were married 13 Feb.1823 in Greensburg, Westmoreland Co. PA. by John Wells Esq.
Archibald`s wife Mary (Grannis) is not buried beside him, sometime soon after Archie passed away Mary moved back to Lyndon, IL. to be with family there, she is buried in the Lyndon Cem.

Inscription

Headstone marker has a GAR brass star. Archibald's original headstone is almost unreadable. It was broken & repaired many yrs ago. In 2010 it was laid down & encased in cement to preserve it from completely disintegrating.
