On 01 Jan 1896 in her parents home in Bancroft, she married Fred Franklin Bliven, son of Henry C and Sarah J (Baggerly) Bliven. The new family settled in Cohoctah Township on a 40 acre farm. Here their 3 children were born:
Martin Henry in 1896
Mildred Sarah in 1898
Florence Marjorie in 1901
Before moving to Detroit, Maude and Fred lived in Lansing and Saginaw. In 1928 when Fred and Maude were divorced, Maude remained in the city, living near her son Martin and his family.
Maude died in Detroit on 12 Feb 1946. She was buried in Sanford Cemetery in what would become the Bliven family plot. Maude's parents, sisters, brothers and several nieces and nephews are also buried in nearby sections of the cemetery.
