Richard K. McCormack, of Tully, New York died at his home peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife Kathleen after a long illness.

Richard was born in Syracuse, New York, the son of Ormonde J. and Ethel (Palmer) McCormack. He was a graduate of the Manlius Military Academy, Lycoming College in Pennsylvania and with honors from the McGill University College of Dentistry in Montreal, Canada. He completed a three year medical residency in Anesthesiology at Upstate Medical Center. He practiced dentistry with his father, OJ McCormack and retired from his dental practice last year. He was a life member of the American Dental Association, Fellow in the American College of Dentists, Fellow in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiologists, Fellow in the American Academy of General Dentists, member of the New York State Dental Society and the 5th District Dental Society. Dr. McCormack was a member of the faculty at Upstate Medical Center Dental Deptartment and Onondaga Community College Dental Hygine program. He founded the Unity Acres Dental Clinic in Orwell, New York and provided many hours of professional services. He served in the United States Air Force in Ireland as an air traffic controller. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in LaFayette, New York and was a Eucharistic Minister.

Dr. McCormack is survived by his wife of 25 years, the former Kathleen J. Mulhern; daughter, Lindsey Tudor; sons, James and Richard McCormack; sisters, Sally McDonnell, Kathy Gongora and Patricia Vanderbogart; nephew, William McDonnell.

Funeral: Saturday, March 15, 2003, 10:15 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc. and 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 6136 Cherry Valley Turnpike, LaFayette, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Michael Minehan.
