William R. MacLeod, 91, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at the Jewish Home of Central New York. Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of Nottingham High School and attended Syracuse University Extension School. He retired in 1983 as Executive Vice President and Treasurer of King Laboratories, Inc. where he had been employed 49 years. As founding president of Consolidated Industries, he was instrumental in establishing that sheltered workshop. During his business career, he was president of the USO, a Rotarian, and a member of the Manufacturers Association of Syracuse. He was a former member of the Century Club, a member of Onondaga Golf and Country Club, and a member of an informal group of friends known as the Lunch Bunch. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Childs Miller; a son William R. MacLeod, Jr. of Syracuse; two stepdaughters, Victoria M. Ricker of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Pamela M. Williams of Albany; a stepson Theodore Miller of Panama; a granddaughter; ten step-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew. Services: No calling hours. A funeral mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs Rd., Fayetteville, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Randall Road entrance, DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Monarch Enterprises (successor to Consolidated Industries), 600 S. Wilbur Ave., Syracuse, NY 13204, or an organization of the donor's choice.
