Joe was born in the Italian Tyrol and lived in Syracuse most of his life. He and his wife Mary lived at 102 Morgan Avenue in Syracuse for many years.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Joe was a self-employed landscaper and an Army veteran of World War II.
In addition to his wife, he was survived by a brother Emilio of the Tyrol.
Joe was a close family friend, and he and Mary were my brother's godparents. They often visited with our family and shared meals, both at our home and at theirs.
