Note from contributor Ken Smith: "The Loomis family records my wife (Rita Loomis Holtslander) has show Agnes Linwood Loomis, should be Agnes Lingwood Loomis." "Born in Bocking or Braintree, Essex, England. She married John Loomis, son of John Loomis and Krysten Pashfield, in Essex County, England on June 30, 1589. They had six children and lived in Braintree, Essex, where John was a tailor. John was a tradesman and
real-estate holder in comfortable circumstances, and a citizen of esteem in the church and community. John wrote his will on April 14, 1619 and died soon after. In the will, he calls himself a tailor, mentions his only son, Joseph and his four married daughters, along with his wife Agnes. Agnes’ burial is recorded on April 14, 1619, in Braintree, at St. Michael’s Church. It could be possible that John wrote his will on the date of his wife's death, then died soon after."
