Mrs. Sallye Eldridge Clarke, 100, died Thursday, August 28, 1997, at the Evergreens Nursing Center in Greensboro.

A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Clarke at 3 p.m. Sunday in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Sallye Eldridge Clarke was born on February 4, 1897, to the late Walter and Linnie Watts Eldridge. A lifelong resident of Guilford County, Mrs. Clarke was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
