Son of Ralph & Narcissa Brint Howell.
Served in the 9th TN Infantry, CoF(The Middleton Tigers) from May 1861 to 1865. Discharged at Corinth, MS. Wounded at Perryville, being shot thru shoulder. His right leg was injured when his horse fell on him during a march to Memphis.
