Larry was born in Albany and lived there all of life until he enlisted in the Marines 23 November 1967, at a Memphis Recruiting Office.
Upon his arrival in Vietnam, he was assigned to Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 26th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. Larry died as a result of gunshot wounds to the body from hostile forces small arms fire while on a patrol, about 7 kilometers north northeast of Ha Tan Airfield.
Survived by his parents, Earl B and Mildred T Adams of Route #1, New Albany, Mississippi.
